Our Activities

Kanta Education and Social Organisation

Muktangan Balwatika

Kanta Education and Social Organisation launched their first project, Muktangan Balwatika, which provides preschool education in the Marathi language. In house hold surway in 2016 we found that there was not any  Aganwadi or pre-school in working area. Many children are not going to school due to pre school is not available near to them. The pre school are located 3 to 4 km away from their home. As a result children of age group 3 to 6 not going to pre school (Aganwadi). To address this issue we are providing economically disadvantaged children with access to basic, quality education opportunities with the support of our dedicated teachers. Our main aim is to reduce the rate of dropouts, engage maximum children in education and to our Muktangan Balwatika and make them ready for school by implementing 3R (write, read and recognizing).

Angel Kids Pre-School

Angel Kids Pre-School is run by Kanta Education and Social Organisation to cater to the educational needs of dropouts among rural and migrated populations. We understand the challenges faced by parents who aspire to provide their children with an English medium education, but face obstacles such as language barriers, social norms, and financial constraints. To overcome these challenges, we employ innovative and interactive teaching practices to make education engaging and accessible to all children. We also emphasize the importance of hygiene and nutritious dietary habits, while prioritizing their motor and cognitive development based on age. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we started Muktangan Balvarg classes to encourage re-enrollment of school dropouts.

Muktagan Learning Class for Drop-out Children

In addition, we offer free coaching classes for dropout children, covering grades 1 to 4 and 5 to 7. Our program includes provision of all necessary educational materials. We are committed to providing access to knowledge for economically disadvantaged children, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to thrive academically.

SHGs and Women Empowerment

We have established Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to empower women and develop sustainable saving habits. These groups provide training in skills such as tailoring, stitching, and lamp making, along with access to microcredit for business ventures. We facilitate linkages with government programs like UMMEED and collaborate with income generation ventures, ensuring holistic support for women’s empowerment and financial independence.

Tree Plantation

On behalf of our organization, our team conducts and participates collaboratively in tree plantation programs as a part of our environmental protection efforts. Through these programs, we are raising awareness within communities about the importance of planting trees, and encouraging everyone to participate in promoting more greenery. By working together, we can help sustain the planet for future generations and create a greener, healthier world.

Health Awareness Program

Dedicated to enhancing the health of underprivileged rural communities in marginalized Pune, we organize health awareness camps in remote areas. Our regular health program caters over 100 needy individuals including children, women, and old ageds. We also educate people on various aspects including body awareness, common diseases, self-check techniques, and rapid healing tips. Our endeavours are supported by an expert team of health professionals and we thank them for their contribution to health awareness promotion.

Vaccination Awareness

Raising awareness among communities is pivotal for building an informed and healthier society. Kanta Education and Social Organisation conducts awareness campaigns in remote areas and imparts knowledge about different health issues and their preventive measures through vaccination. Through informative sessions and interactive discussions, we aim to empower individuals with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, promoting community-wide immunization and disease prevention.

Skill development programme Tailoring classes

We organize two months tailoring classes for women and girls who are drop out from school.
